This Ready Set Ride training session will provide the skills and knowledge to be able to deliver a simple learn to ride programme in your school. It will provide you with games and activities for your children to become more confident on a bike and challenges to recognise and reward progress and achievements. The course will help the children develop the balance and coordination skills to ride a balance bike and progress to a pedal bike.

The format for the session will be as follows:

• Welcome and Introductions to HSBC UK Ready Set Ride
• Why learn to ride and explore the resource pack/activities
• Practical activity with reception children outdoors (or indoors if weather won’t allow) – please wear appropriate clothing for activity and weather conditions.
• Explore how the programme could work in your school and engage families

There is an expectation the schools attending will go on the deliver the programme in their school, engage families, register pupils progress on the Ready Set Ride website and each child should achieve one or more levels by March 2020
