Time: 09:00
Venue: St Johns Sports Centre
This in‑person certified CPD for KS1–3 teachers is designed to build confidence in teaching high quality dance (not ballet!) through key‑stage‑specific approaches, and suitable for both subject specialists and generalist classroom teachers looking to develop their skills.
- The CPD is hands‑on and classroom‑ready, designed for teachers with no prior arts experience with sessions led by expert practitioners from the Royal Ballet and Opera.
- It allows teachers to build confidence in teaching the building blocks of dance
- Teachers leave with clear, ready‑to‑use ideas, simple lesson plans and practical approaches they can use straight away, helping reduce planning time while building confidence, creativity and inclusive practice.
- Pupils will develop physical literacy, creativity and collaboration, with clear links to PE, literacy and the wider curriculum.
- The CPD supports skills development, creativity and whole‑school improvement – helping teachers strengthen school standards, wellbeing and engagement.
