Socially distanced PE - ideas ready to adapt for your school
We have pulled together a list of activities and resources that are suited to, or can be adapted to follow social distancing guidelines.
All activities will need to be risk assessed by your school and should follow your school guidance around coronavirus.
Activities should also be amended to suit your young people, facilities and environment.
The Association for Physical Education have produced a guidance document and practical self-review tool for COVID-19 risk assessment (updated July 2020). Click here to view the document. There is also an FAQ Sheet to go alongside this.
NEW: AfPE has produced a Reactivating Learning double-sided poster, which aim to support primary schools to rejuvenate their pupils’ physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing on their return in the autumn.
NEW: Youth Sport Trust have released a Returning to School Sport Framework. The tool poses questions and provides principles to ensure that the provision of physical activity and sporting opportunities supports the most vulnerable, helps students re-socialise and to re-build their physical, social and emotional confidence.
