Virtual School Games: Sportshall athletics

This challenge starts on 27th April and schools have up until 7th May to submit results for sportshall athletics. Here are the activities to complete:

Year 3 & 4 – Standing Long Jump
Young person stands on line and jumps as far forward as they can. Measure the distance they jump in centimetres for your score

Year 5 & 6 – Speed Bounce (30 secs)
Young person jumps over a cereal box (or something similar) with both feet, each jump counts as 2 points

High School – Standing Triple Jump
Young person starts on a line and completes a standing triple jump the score is the distance covered in centimetres

Inclusive –  Seated Throw
Young person throws a toilet roll as far forward as they can from a seated position the score is measured in metres x 10. (eg 2.5m thrown is 25 points.)

Please add up all the scores from your pupils (1 score per pupil) and then divide it by the number of entries you had. Email both the school name, and score to kieram@strideactive.org by the 7th May 2020.
